I’m Sanne, founder of Formae. A mother of three, a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, and someone who has always been deeply drawn to art.

Originally from Amsterdam, I moved to Los Angeles, where my journey into motherhood took on a whole new meaning. The birth of my third child at home in LA was a profoundly transformative experience, one that deepened my admiration for the power of the female body and the miracle of creating life.

During that time, I reflected on a concept I had known from Europe: creating timeless sculptures of pregnant women, preserving this extraordinary chapter as art. I realized how meaningful it would be to bring this to women in the US, to celebrate pregnancy not just as a moment, but as a legacy.

Determined to bring this vision to life with the highest craftsmanship, I partnered with a local digital sculptor and bronze foundry in Los Angeles. Together, we craft each sculpture by hand, proudly designed and produced locally, ensuring quality, authenticity, and soul.

At Formae, we honor the strength, beauty, and vulnerability of motherhood. Each bronze sculpture is more than art, it’s a forever keepsake, a family heirloom to be cherished for generations.

This is your story, cast in bronze, a timeless tribute to the moment you became a mother.
